By Kate Edwards, ABC NewsAAP.com, 9 December 2017AAP: What’s the big deal about clothes?
Well, there are two big things about clothes.
One is that they can be made in a variety of colours, fabrics, and sizes.
And they’re also made of different materials.
And that means that you can have a pair of jeans that are made in Australia or a pair that you’re going to be wearing on a flight to London.
So, a lot of the big brands are going to have to think a lot about their marketing strategies and their brand identity.
And one of the key things is to make sure that you have a range of styles that reflect that.
So what do we mean by a range?
Well if you’re looking at a pair, you might be able to say ‘well this is the same pair I’m wearing on my flight to Luton’, or ‘I’m wearing these jeans today on my trip to Australia’.
And that’s fine, because that’s the range that you want to be able represent.
And when you look at a range you have to look at the people who are wearing it.
And the people that are wearing the clothes are the people buying it.
So you’ve got a range, you’ve also got a value proposition that you are able to deliver.
So that’s what I’m going to cover in this article.
And, in the next article, I’m also going to look more closely at some of the trends in the fashion industry that are starting to have an impact on consumers.
And if you want more information on the history of Australian fashion, this article is for you.
